Levy Li Su Lin (Li (李)素琳) (born October 20, 1987 ) a Malaysian of mixed Chinese and Thai descent, is the winner of Miss Malaysia Universe 2008 and represented Malaysia in the Miss Universe beauty pageant held in Vietnam, in June 2008. Levy is a student, model, spokesperson and entrepreneur.
Levy graduated in 2004 from SMK Subang Utama and pursued a Bachelor degree in Communications, majoring in Broadcasting at Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman Malaysia.
In 2009, Levy is the first Malaysia's beauty queen to further her studies at Harvard Extension School in Boston, Massachusetts. Due to her interest with the current global crisis, she passionately chose to major in environmental studies. During the summer of 2009, Levy completed a digital film making and acting course in New York Film Academy and also learned the art of improvisation through Improv Asylum North End, Boston training center.
Levy started off her career as a professional celebrity model and spokesperson after her success in winning Miss Malaysia Universe title which is her first participation in a beauty pageant. Levy is actively involved with Malaysia International Fashion Week, Stylo, MODA and featured in many international and local magazines.
In 2008, Levy was appointed as Wacoal Malaysia ambassador and in 2009, Levy was appointed as Shiseido Malaysia ambassador.
In 2009, Levy directed and acted as the main cast in several short films produced in the United States. In 2010, Levy hit the runway in Boston, Massachusetts with Christian Siriano, DKNY and Yigal Azrouel Spring Summer collections.
Levy is in the running to be nominated as the young entrepreneur because at the age of 18, Levy strike on her first start up in online fashion business in Malaysia. In June 2010, Levy is working on her second start up with 3 other fellow Harvard Business School students in Malaysia. This start up is a social enterprise project, Chauffeur Safe which will be launch in Kuala Lumpur. Further details will be updated prior to any news availability.
